Andalusia is an autonomous Spanish community, considered historic nationalities is composed by the provinces of Almeria, Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaen, Malaga and Seville. Its capital is Seville city acknowledged by the Statute of Autonomy as the seat of Government of Andalusia. The headquarters of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalusia is located in the city of Granada.
It is the most populated autonomous community of Spain (8,353,843 inhabitants at 1 January 2010) and the second most extensive, which explains its weight in the whole of Spain. Is located south of the Iberian Peninsula to the west limitando the Portuguese Republic in the south with the Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea and claimed the British overseas territory of Gibraltar, with the north region of Extremadura and Castilla-La Mancha and on the east the region of Murcia.
